First take is a great option for actors in the Bay Area. It is a community of actors who help each other and want their peers to succeed. I felt safe enough to try the hardest scene I’ve come across so far. It scared the heck out of me, but when I tried it I received support from everyone in the room and felt safe to put myself out there.
Then Nancy showed me where I had succeeded and where I needed little tweaks. She didn’t just let me off just because it was an incredibly hard scene; she helped me push myself to do something I didn’t know I could. Nancy helps students breaks bad habits, teaches social etiquette in auditions and coaches students through scene work.
